Prof. Hideyuki Sawada pays a visit to FME

On the morning of January 29, 2016, Prof. Hideyuki Sawada from Kagawa University, Japan visited and worked with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME). Prof. Sawada is currently instructing MSc. Vo Nhu Thanh – FME lecturer implementing the “Talking and Singing Robot” doctoral project.

At the meeting, Prof. Hideyuki Sawada introduced the main research directions (see more details here): 

• Talking and Singing Robot 
• Robotic Auditory System Interacting with Musical Sounds 
• Human Interface based on Image Processing 
• Tactile Display using SMA wires 

The meeting ended successfully with the promise of cooperation in scientific research and receiving FME students for internship and master’s degree.
